Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Adhian Gurus ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our platform. We aim to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). By using the Platform you acknowledge this Policy.

1. Data we collect

  • Identity and contact data: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, city and area.
  • Tutor data: subjects, boards, qualifications, rates, availability and verification documents.
  • Booking and payment data: sessions booked, coin balance, and transaction records (full card details are held only by our payment processor, not by us).
  • Session data: for quality and safety, session audio may be analysed by automated (AI) tools where you have consented. We do not record session video.
  • Usage and marketing data: device and log data, and advertising identifiers such as Meta cookies (_fbp, _fbc), click IDs (fbclid) and UTM parameters.

2. How we use your data

To operate the marketplace (match tutors and learners, run trials and bookings), verify tutors, process payments, provide AI session summaries and safety monitoring, communicate with you (including WhatsApp updates where you opted in), improve the service, and measure our advertising.

3. Consent and WhatsApp / marketing messages

We rely on your consent for marketing communications, including WhatsApp and SMS updates, and for AI monitoring of session audio. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the opt-out in the relevant message; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

4. Session monitoring — what is captured

Where consent is given, session audio may be processed to confirm a session took place, generate a summary, and flag inappropriate content. Summaries are retained with the booking record; raw audio, where stored, is retained for a limited period (by default up to 90 days) and then deleted, unless a longer period is required to resolve a dispute or by law.

5. Children's data

Many learners are minors. Accounts for users under 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, whose consent covers the child's data. We process children's data only as needed to provide tutoring and to keep sessions safe.

6. Who we share data with

With tutors and parents/students as needed to arrange a session; with service providers (payment processors, cloud hosting, communication and analytics providers, including Meta for advertising measurement); and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Subject to the DPDP Act, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and may withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact our Grievance Officer below.

9. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to run the Platform and, with your consent where required, analytics and advertising cookies (including the Meta Pixel) to measure campaign performance. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

10. Grievance Officer & contact

For any privacy request or complaint, contact our Grievance Officer at privacy@adhiangurus.com. We aim to respond within the timelines set by the DPDP Act.
